Who can really prove to be a bitch
So nobody will blame
And there's really no shame
If your fellow explorers you ditch.
So nobody will blame
And there's really no shame
If your fellow explorers you ditch.
this area of the forest, becoming progressively
wilder and crazier and more dangerous.

I would say it is all in the eye of the beholder (if you make the wrong turn while trying to leave).
Great limerick!
Nicely done.
Here is a limerick I wrote that emplains 'The Steading of the Hill Giant Chief':
Nearby the mountains of Jotun
Dwelled giants, 'orrible and rotten
The Lord of the land
Took matters in hand
so your party went out and fought 'em.
Then there is the Glacial Rift of the Frost Giant Jarl:
While exploring giant arctic stronghold
with companions both brave and bold
You kicked a lot of butt
and Yetis you did gut
And grabbed all the Frost Giant's gold.
And, finally, Hall of the Fire Giant King:
Adventuring in giant caves volcanic
would cause most to fear or to panic
But with swords and spell
you sent the Giants to hell
but found black elves most Satanic.
Alright Limpey!
