In the interest of encouraging kids to take up pen and paper games, here's a couple of word search puzzles - find the B/X monsters (some will be reversed). Maybe this could come in handy for those long vacation car rides or flights? You know what's funny? If you squint, that thumbnail looks like some kind of wilderness map.

A puzzle like this needs some kind theme theme music and a ticking clock.
Wow, this is very awesome! Will definitely try this with my older students. Maybe, "you have 5 mins to find as many monsters as you have. Afterward you get to keep the strongest of these monsters as a pet/ ally."

@Urikson: I like that idea. I was thinking it might be interesting to use it as a mechanic: find a certain number of items in a certain amount of time and disable the trap, for example.
