I liked the silhouettes Telecanter posted on his blog recently and last night played around with them a bit and came up with some (apx. 25mm sized) paper miniatures. They feel very whiteboxey. Thumbnail above, PDF here.
It could really use the addition of a cleric. I doubt I'll ever use them myself, but I had fun making them and thought I'd share them here in case anyone is interested or finds them of use. If you do assemble them, I recommend glue and not tape. The bases fit on top of a U.S. penny. These two photos are my lazy tutorial...

this is actually very nice!
Thanks! I like my metal minis, but I could see printing up a bunch of these fighters for a big battle. Maybe I'll make a fighter only pdf.
Awesome. I'll look for a cleric-type. (ha, that mage is actual St. Patrick that I edited a little)
Those are pretty darned cool!
Now we need demi-humans and a few humanoids to expand the idea a little.
I might tinker with this idea a bit as well.
The One Monk miniatures are pretty neat, but very expensive to print in full color on matte photo paper, as suggested. It is cheaper to buy a lot of old lead on ebay!
Thanks Steve. You know, I actually thought about making some PDFs of OSR critters and thought of you. Two things come to mind, the fact that a lot of deserving creatures from both the 0e Reloaded and Monsters of Myth books haven't been born into lead (or pewter or whatever it is modern casters are using) and the fact that some of them are particularly suited to paper mini reproduction because they typically appear in great numbers. Ghoul monkeys have always been a favorite of mine and are a good example, but surely there's a bunch of others.
If anyone's interested in collaborating on a small project like this and has art or suggestions feel free to leave a comment or contact me via my profile email address.
I'll shoot you an email and we can put our heads together on this if you want to. I can make the art. It would be neat to make a pack, a sheet of different kobolds, goblins, orcs and then some one off monsters, from the newer books and even some oldschool favorites like bulettes, ankhegs, etc.
