As I recall, it brought out my conflicting feelings on the subject - a desire for simplicity but also a desire to encourage creative problem solving when dealing with encumbrance.ze bulettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15603716850479808633noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2326833531919898477.post-90795488101535985072011-01-19T13:31:06.915-08:002011-01-19T13:31:06.915-08:00Damn I want to try that :DDamn I want to try that :DDoohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13838864632029958008noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2326833531919898477.post-40165664198602340382011-01-19T10:52:14.690-08:002011-01-19T10:52:14.690-08:00cool!cool!Pontifexhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01761338487255048337noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2326833531919898477.post-5004488283524159542011-01-18T23:20:45.976-08:002011-01-18T23:20:45.976-08:00I'm gearing up for a playtest with Raggi tomor...I'm gearing up for a playtest with Raggi tomorrow morning (10 am Pacific time ... I'll be drinking coffee instead of beer and wine ... the definition of Weird Role Playing), so when I think of "5 crates of whisky" I think, damn that's serious encumbrance.

Having said that, I'd love to see his encumbrance and wilderness adventuring rules for the Arctic-ly flavored "Weird New World" setting run up against historical details of Shackleton's meticulously planned (and doomed) Endurance expedition to the Antarctic. Insofar as folks cast the Old School games as ones that put resource management as a main feature, Shackleton's may stand out as the best prepared, most ill-fated in the event, and most blessed (like always making saving throws blessed) of all those expeditions, since none of his men died (apparently he made all his morale checks too).Spawn of Endrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10431848914619887998noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2326833531919898477.post-84563424109329939532011-01-18T22:15:14.990-08:002011-01-18T22:15:14.990-08:00It certainly does if you drink it. :DIt certainly does if you drink it. :DC'nor (Outermost_Toe)https://www.blogger.com/profile/01580315916281876117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2326833531919898477.post-38489328851803719672011-01-18T21:29:07.602-08:002011-01-18T21:29:07.602-08:00Thanks for the link!
